Sydney is devastated that she is not in kindergarten. Her birthday is 6 days past the deadline to start school this year and she was really sad. She is in a great preschool group with 6 other families. We all get to take a turn teaching. She is excited for when we get to have school at our house in October.

I know how she feels, my birthday is August 28th and my parents decided they would rather have me be the oldest in my class rather than the youngest, and I was also shy. So I started kindergarten when I was 6 too. Sometimes it was rough for me because I felt like I was more mature than my friends.....but that might just be me ( my mom always said I was 16 going on 30). Anyway, the pluses were that I got to date first, drive first, and go to relief society first (haha). So, she may thank you later.
