Ultra Nick

We got home from Salt Lake on Friday night and got to bed around midnight. Nick was up at 6:00 am to compete in his first ultra marathon. It was the Cowtown Ultra marathon and it was 31 miles long. Despite being sleep deprived and having an injured IT band in his knee, he finished in 4 hours 40 min, placed 38th overall and 3rd in his age division! We are all so proud of him and all of his hard work. He never stops amazing me! Thank you to his parents for coming to see him race!

Farewell Grandma Nelson

Nick's Grandma passed away just shy of her 86th birthday. Nick and I were able to fly to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend her services. She was a remarkable women who raised 2 daughters and 6 sons as a single mother. All of her children have stayed true to the gospel and become successful. She will be missed by all!

Girls Weekend in Boulder, CO

Last weekend I met up with some great friends from my freshman year at BYU. It was so fun to catch up, relax, eat good food, and experience more snow. Thanks for being a great host, Emily. I can't wait until next time!

The last year of my 20's has begun!

Nick had a little party for me and the kids all got to pick out a necklace for me. It was great seeing what they picked out. Nick also made me our traditional pancakes. Thanks for a great day.

I am officially 29. I had a good birthday. Tiffany hosted a birthday breakfast and I had a great time celebrating with friends. thanks to all that could make it.

Park City, Utah

We had a great trip with Nick's family to Park City. Thank you to my sister-in-law, Emily's parents for letting us stay in their home. We had such a fun time and all three kids skiied this year! I think I was more tired then they were. We had great weather and just loved spending time with our family.

Sledding

the kids spent some time in the snow this year in PA and they are really hooked on sledding. Park City was not a disappointment. They had plenty of time to sled away.

Swimming in the Snow!

One of the highlights for the kids during our trip to Park City was swimming outside in the cold weather. The kids thought it was so cool. Each of us even jumped in the snow and then quickly made a mad dash for the water.
