Trip Home Story

After spending three weeks apart from Nick, we were ready to be reunited. We had a crazy time getting home. I missed my flight because of construction and a traffic accident. I was 10 minutes too late to check my bags, so I wasn't allowed on the flight. The airline put me on a flight that left 4 1/2 hours later and then instead of being direct, I had a layover in Charlotte for another two hours. We ended up getting to Texas around midnight, seven hours later than planned. It was a pretty stressful day and I have decided that it is better to be there two hours before your flight leaves than spending an extra seven hours at an airport with three kids by myself!

Blake had a soccer game and he did really good. We missed most of the season traveling, but he was really aggressive and did a great job. He is really excelling at being a defender. His kicks are really strong. It is fun watching him progress.

Blake's Frist High School Musical

Aunt Jenne' and Blake

A few days before we were expected to be in Pennsylvania, I got a call from my sister, Jenne', telling me that they needed a little boy to run out onto the stage at the end of her high school musical. The play was Ragtime. I was really excited that they wanted Blake to do the part since I was also in the plays in high school. I new that Blake would not be afraid and I was right. He did great! He smiled the whole time and loved every second that he was on stage. Everyone was so nice to him back stage. It was a really special experience for him to be in the play with my sisters. I think we may have a future star on our hands! Jenne' played the part of Sarah and she did a beautiful job. Kendra was in the chorus, but she was always easy to pick out because she was the most animated. Good job girls!

We were blessed to have all of my sisters and brother home at the same time, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to have some pictures taken. We were happy with how they turned out.

Last Day in Tennesee

We all had a great time while we were in Tennessee. We spent our last day there swinging in the backyard and going miniature golfing. The kids had so much fun. Sydney and Trey lost interest after one game, but Blake played two rounds and was still going strong. He really likes golf. We don't know where he gets it from, but he is a natural.
