Skin Head

Every time that Blake's Nana comes to visit, we have the tradition of getting a haircut. Well, on Monday, we went and got Blake a nice haircut and two days later, he decided that he didn't like the way it was sticking up, so he cut it off, right down to the scalp. I got really angry and buzzed it all off to even it out. When he saw himself in the mirror, he started screaming and crying and saying that he didn't like it. He was really traumatized. He had a baseball cap on and he said he wasn't ever going to take it off. He is doing better now and he likes that he has the same hair cut as his dad. He has promised me that he will never cut his hair again and I promised to never shave it again. At least he didn't cut Sydney's!.

Nana's Cake is on Fire!

Nana came for a short visit and we celebrated her 54th birthday. The kids were excited about all of the candles. They especially loved helping her put the flames out. We tired out a new recipe for Blond Texas sheet cake with carmel frosting that everyone loved. The kids each picked out a new shade of nail polish for Nana's gift, so if you see Marie with purple toenails, you will know why!

Muddy in Texas

Nick did a little grading to our back yard to get it ready for our above ground pool. We are watching my sister's dog for the weekend and he got all muddy, so we got on our bathing suits and went out to give him a bath. Well, we couldn't resist the mud either. We had a great time getting dirty. Sydney did not care for it too much, but Blake had a blast. Afterwards, we took hot showers and the kids had some hot chocolate.

Father's Day Photo Shoot

I thought I would take some pictures of the kids after we got home from church. It has been a great Father's Day. The kids picked out a nine man tent (no, I don't plan on filling it). They are just so excited to go camping! We bought the tent on Friday and it was so hard for them to keep the secret. I don't think that they realized that they told.
Trey is 11 months old and is finally crawling! He really didn't get a lot of floor time because we have always been protecting him from the other two. His main motivation is to crawl to get the TV remote or the telephone. He is so fun.
Sydney is such a girl and always wants to be dressed up. She is a big drama queen and likes to be the center of attention.
Blake is 59 months old, just ask him. He is really interested in time and always wants to know how many days until....or how many minutes until this happens. I think he heard us tell someone how many months Trey was and ever since, he wants to know how many months old he is .
You would think that I would be putting pictures of Nick on the blog for Father's day, but he is still at church. We are planning a nice dinner for him and we made him one of his favorite desserts, chocolate sheetcake!

Off to Join the Circus!

Trey loves to balance on his dad's hands! He cannot stand alone, but he can balance for a pretty long time with his dad's help. He giggles the entire time he is balancing. He is so fun!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

Blake went to his first professional baseball game. It was the Texas Rangers against the Milwaukee Brewers. Blake was very loyal to Texas and was cheering for them even though his dad was cheering for the Brewers. Blake was so excited when his team took the lead during the nineth inning and won the game. He is already planning to go to another game. I think we have created a devoted fan!

Rainbow

We has a quick thunderstorm roll through tonight and we spotted a rainbow as soon as the storm cleared up. The kids were really excited to see the rainbow and then they were having fun splashing in the rain water. It was the perfect end to our family home evening!

Fishing

Sydney and Dad
Blake's first catch of the day

Kissing the Catch!
I don't think it is going to turn into a prince!
I kids went fishing with their cousins and dad's. They had a great time. They used hot dogs as bait and the fish loved it! They caught too many fish to count. Now we know the secret of the pond!
