Two left shoes!

Trey has to be on the bus really early...like 6:59am early. It is still pretty dark out when the bus comes and I don't turn on many lights because I don't want to wake up the other kids. Well, this morning the bus came a little earlier than usual, so I had to rush and put Trey's shoes on and get him on the bus. When he came home from school, I put him right in the car so that we could meet some friends for lunch. When we got to the restaurant I noticed that Trey was walking kind of funny. I looked down at his feet and he had two left feet flip flops on! One was in one size and the other was in the next size up. At least they were the same color. I thought, "maybe his teachers didn't notice." Well, after we got our food, Trey took off his flips and the bottom of his feet were blue because they finger painted with their feet today. There is no way that his teachers didn't notice that he had two left foot shoes. I win for mother of the year!

Rain, rain, come and stay!

We have finally received some relief from all of the heat and we got some much needed rain! It has been raining for almost a week now. The kids have been getting a little stir crazy, but they love to go and jump on the trampoline in the rain. It makes for a pretty slippery surface, but they always have a ton of fun.

Sydney is FIVE years old

Sydney is five years old now. She had a good birthday. We did a pinata the night before her birthday with some of her friends from church. The pinata was her main birthday request. She requested chocolate chip banana pancakes for breakfast and none of us complained about that. She was so cute opening her presents. She makes the cutest faces and LOVES everything! As for the big wound above her face....I have no idea how she got it! She went to bed one night and that is how she woke up! I was really frustrated. I don't know if it is some type of brush burn or if she scratched her self in her sleep. I was faithful about putting antibiotic cream on it and the scab fell off and thankfully you can hardly see it anymore. I tried to get most of her pictures from her "good" side.

Trey starts Speech School

One of the reasons that we really looked for a house in the Keller school district is because they have the best speech therapy program in the area. Trey is really struggling with his annunciation of words. He talks a lot, but he is pretty hard to understand. He goes to school twice a week for three hours at a time to help get him to where he needs to be. He was most excited about the bus that he gets to ride to and from school. None of my other kids get to ride a bus because we live too close to the elementary school. Trey's school is a little further away, so he gets the special bus. He gets picked up at 6:59 in the morning and it has been pretty rough. He naps really good for me on those days. He really seems to like school though and his speech seems to be improving!

ANOTHER year of preschool

Sydney is devastated that she is not in kindergarten. Her birthday is 6 days past the deadline to start school this year and she was really sad. She is in a great preschool group with 6 other families. We all get to take a turn teaching. She is excited for when we get to have school at our house in October.

32 Years

We celebrated Nick's birthday this past month. He lost his rainbow flips in the move and since they were ten year old, I thought it was time to get him another pair. I wish I had pictures of his old pair. They have seen some really good times. He was pretty pumped when I told him that I got him tickets to the U2 concert that is coming in October. Stay tuned for pictures of that!

Bumblebee

Syndey started her first season of soccer. She is number 7 and on the bumblebee team with her cousin, Renee'. She is doing really well and the highlight of the first game was Sydney grabbing Renee' from out behind the goal and dragging her back on the field to play in the game. It should be a pretty fun season. The last picture is of Trey watching from the side lines. He can't wait for his turn!

First Grade

Here are the pictures from Blake's first day of school. He was pretty pumped to get to go all day long. He is in a new school this year. He started out with Ms. Jobe, but had to be moved into Ms. Barkman's class after two weeks so that he could be in his gifted cluster group. He is actually in his cousin's class now. We talked to the teacher to make sure that she doesn't let them gang up on her.
