Temples have been in the news lately. As many of you know we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and temples are very important to us. The one pictured above is where we were married and sealed together for time and all of eternity. They are one of our favorite places to be. The short video below about why we build temples does a great job of explaining more about them.

Back Log of Blogging
This past month has been pretty stressful, from being ill, lots of hours of preparing taxes, and getting our house ready to sell, I have not had a lot of time to blog, well, I posted a ton today, so enjoy, who knows when I will have time for more! :-)

Red beard
Nick is pretty good about keeping a shaved face, but occasionally we get a glimpse of his RED beard. His hair on his head is pretty light, but his beard is almost pure red. His mom told me that his hair was all red when he was born, but it never ceases to surprise me when I see his red beard.

Camping

We used to go camping all the time when we lived in Utah. We would get off work late and still make time to head up the cannon and sleep out with good friends. We haven't been able to camp out as much here, but we did have a great time the other night. The kids were so excited. We went to Mineral Wells State park, which is about an hour away. We had a great time hiking and just being together. We will definitely have to go more often, it was just so much fun...but next time we are not going to forget my pillow, matches, and a lantern...Oops!

Tiffany's Surprise Birthday Party!

My sister, Tiffany was turning 30 this year and her husband, Sam, wanted to throw her a surprise party. I was in on the detail work and it was really hard because Tiffany wanted to throw herself a party. I told her that it was tacky, so she asked one of her friends! Luckily, the friend she asked was the person that Sam had asked to host the party. We had a few hiccups in the planning, but everything turned out great. Tiffany was so surprised! Tiffany's roommate from college, Joi, had to do twice as much work as planned since I was still sick. I was able to get out of the house and go to the party for a little while. It was great to get out again and I was so happy that I didn't have to miss this. Happy Birthday, Tiffany, I love you!

Syd's new Style!
Ever since I got my hair cut in May, Sydney has been begging me to get her hair cut short. I let her get it cut in December and she said she wanted it as short as mine, I thought I could trick her by bending down and telling the hair dresser to cut it as short as mine.....my head it a lot bigger, so hers was still pretty long. She was not satisfied and I finally gave into her demands when she kept taking out all of her bows and making it look like I never fixed her hair. Sydney joined in on the tradition we have of getting our hair cut when Nana is in town. She looked really cute and I am so happy that we cut it. As we were driving home from the salon, she said, "I can't wait to show dad my new Style!"
