Jack-O-Lanterns

Blake has been asking when we were going to carve pumpkins all month. He has been planning his "scary" face pumpkin all day. He drew what he wanted Nick to carve on a piece of paper. We always have a girl pumpkin and a boy pumpkin. This year Sydney and I did a little internet research and she found a picture of this one and insisted that we do a kitty pumpkin. Both kids were thrilled with the results.

Halloween Preview

I got the kids pictures taken in their costumes, so you are getting a sneak peak at this year's Halloween. The kids are really excited to all be the same thing. Their bones glow in the dark and they love to turn out the lights and dance in the bathroom mirror. We will post more pictures on Halloween.

Pumpkin Patch

My sister and I took our kids to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. We all had a really good time. Their were bounce houses, hay rides, and lots of pumpkins. The kids were really good and they are already planning a time back to the pumpkin patch next year. I think it is a good tradition.

Doctors

We just got back from the doctors. Sydney put a little princess shoe up her nose and I couldn't get it out. I am just happy that I didn't have to take her the emergency room! Sydney promised me that she would never do it again.

More soccer games

Here are some pictures that Nick took during Blake's last soccer game.

Little Dancer

Sydney just LOVES her dance class. Although, she does have trouble paying attention and we often catch her primping in the mirror instead of listening to her teacher. She is going to have her first recital in December. It should be a riot!

Texas Football

A couple of weeks ago, we took the kids to a local football game. The Southlake Dragons were playing and I think they are ranked the second best high school team in the country. It was amazing how big the stadium was. The school spirit was infectious and their band was bigger than my graduating class. It was really fun. The kids were really tired by the end of the night, they didn't make it home awake.

Homecoming

I came home from my cruise to a great homecoming! The kids made this banner for me and Nick got me roses. The kids are wearing the new T-shirts that I got them in Mexico. It felt great to be missed so much. I have such a great family. My mother-in-law came to watch the kids while I was away, so I was able to know that they were being taken care of in my absence.

Chichen-Itza

We traveled to see the Chichen-Itza ruins when the cruise stopped in Progresso, Mexico. The ruins are amazing. They are over 1500 years old. They have been named one of the seven wonders of the world, so I am happy to be able to check one off the list!

Cozumel

The first stop on our cruise was Cozumel, Mexico. We shopped in the morning and then we went to a beach for the afternoon. We had a personal snorkel tour and just relaxed. The water was breathtaking.

Great dinner date!

My sister, Tiffany, and I received the best Mother's Day present in the world, a five day cruise! We had such a good time! We ate great food (which we didn't have to cook), read books on the deck (without listening to crying kids), and went dancing almost every night. It was just absolutely wonderful to get a away for a little bit.
