28 years old!

I felt really bad when my brother in-law, Sam, had to spend his birthday in the hospital. Well, now the two of us are starting a "it is no fun to be in the hospital on your birthday" club! I ended up with pneumonia that put me in the hospital for a couple of days this past week, one of which happened to be my birthday. I am feeling a lot better now though and we were really blessed that Nick's mom, Marie was able to come down and watch the kids. Blake has struggled with me being sick because he doesn't understand why we can't go and do all of the usual fun things that we do when Nana comes to visit. Anyway, I hope that no one else has to join our club and I am very grateful to Tiffany for watching the kids before Marie got here and for all of the support I have gotten from my friends and family. I couldn't get through this time without you!

Family Dancing Time, Staring Trey

Baptism

One of my very good friends, Christine Jenkins, was baptized this past month. I have only known her for about 2-3 months, but she is just one of those friends that you feel like you have known your whole life! Nick and I have been helping teach Christine about the gospel with the missionaries. She is also one of my running buddies. I am so proud of her for making such a great decision and I admire her strong faith. I can't wait to watch her and her husband be sealed in the temple in one year's time!
The other girl in the picture, on the far right, is my other good friend Amanda Newman. People at church are always getting us confused. I think it is the dark hair and the fact that we moved into the ward at the same time and we are always together. I guess that can't be the only thing because the other day at the gym, the workers tried to give me her baby because they thought I was her. She is a great friend too that I know I can always count on. Thanks for being you, Amanda!

Texas Snow Day

We didn't get any snow, but we didn't have school one day this past month because all of the roads were covered in ice. Blake took advantage and went sleding, "Texas Style." It didn't come close to Utah sledding, but when you live in Texas, you take what you can get!
