Dear Tooth Fairy...We need you at our house!

We were eating dinner in the airport last week as we were traveling to Salt Lake, when Blake announced that he had two loose teeth. I opened his mouth to examine his teeth and to my astonishment he had two very loose teeth with the big ones already coming out behind the baby ones. Blake doesn't like us to mess with them, but we convinced him to let us crank on them today and Nick got one out! Blake almost hyperventilated when he saw the blood, so needless to say, the other loose tooth is still in his mouth. He is pretty excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight. I just can't believe that my baby is loosing his baby teeth already!

T-ball Game 1

Blake had his first T-ball game on Saturday. He did a great job and played pitcher, catcher, and outfield. He had two really great hits and made it the whole way home both times. He really likes it and it is fun to see him get so excited! I know that my grandfather who Blake was named after, would be so proud of him!

Happy 90th Birthday Gramps!

The kids with their great grandfather, Russell
Four generations of Nelson men. Mike, Glade, Nick, and Gramps
Nick's dad's family...eight kids! :-)
Ruby and I hanging out at the partyWe headed out to Utah for the weekend to attend Nick's grandfather's 90th birthday party. We had a great day that started out in the Salt Lake temple. Nick's grandfather has not been active in the church for the majority of this life, but he decided that he wanted to start to go to church again and we were able to go to the temple with him. It was so great wittiness all of Nick's father's brothers and sisters in the temple together with their parents for the first time. Thank you Em and Mike for watching our kids so that we could go! After the temple, we headed out to Grantsville for his birthday party. It was a special day and we are so blessed that we could go. Thanks to everyone that made this trip possible. We love you!

Park City, Utah

Emily's parents offered their Park City condo to us to use while we were in Utah. It is such a comfortable place and we always have such a great time there. We especially loved the fall weather and colors. We got to meet Ruby and Sydney was a little mother! She kept asking to hold her every couple of minutes. Ruby was making baby noises and Em asked Sydney what Ruby was saying and Syd said, "She says she wants to play tag!" Trey was pretty enchanted with Ruby as well. She is a doll, of course, and we are so happy to have her in our family.

Temple Square, Salt Lake City, Utah

Before Nick had to fly home on Sunday, I wanted to take the kids to see temple square. They are all dressed up for the football game that was on later that night. The flowers were gorgeous and we were able to get in a few good pictures, although the majority of them were not! The kids were good sports and kept posing for me. It takes divine interevention to be able to get a picture where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling!

Lo

I stopped in Logan for a couple of hours on my way up to Idaho to see Brielle' new baby. I couldn't be in Utah, even for a weekend without visiting my old stomping ground in Logan, UT. I stopped to see my best friend from Utah State, Lauree Myler. Her kids have grown up so fast. It seems like just yesterday that I was poking her six year old in the womb while we watched Alias. Times goes by so quickly, but it was so nice seeing Lauree. She is awesome and I still love her just as much as I did then!

Meeting Austin Kennington

I headed up to Rexburg, ID to get a little peak at my newest nephew, Austin. He is such a sweet heart. I tried to hold him every second that I could. It was also great to see Dane & Laurel, Jeff & Brielle, and my mom, who is out there helping out with the baby. I am so glad that I got to sneak up for a visit. Thank you, Marie, for watching the kiddos so I could go!

Princess Party

Sydney with her cousin, Renee'

Sydney had a princess birthday party with some friends from church. It was her first party with friends. We served her favorite foods, eggs and biscuits, for lunch. Everyone got a pedicure and then we played some princess bingo. We attempted to have the girls make necklaces, but the majority lost interest pretty quickly and ended up with bracelets instead. Sydney was pretty excited about her princess castle cake. My sister, Tiffany, came over for some much needed assistance when I was decorating it. I think all of the girls had a good time, especially Sydney!

Ruby's Blessing

Nick had a great visit with his family in California. The highlight of the trip was getting to meet his new niece, Ruby. Nick's brother, Mike, gave her a wonderful blessing. We are now counting down the days until we get to see her at Nick's grandfather's 90th birthday party this weekend. We can't wait!

Newest Gampe Baby

My parent's 7th grandchild was born when my younger sister, Brielle, had her first baby on September 5th. Austin Kennington was 7.5 lbs and 19 inches long. We think he is just darling and we were super excited to see all of his thick hair! Good job Jeff and Brielle!

Happy Birthday Princess!

Nick is heading to CA to help bless his brothers baby, Ruby. He is going to be gone for Sydney's birthday, so we decided to celebrate early. It is nice when kids are too young to realize when their actual birthdays are. Sydney had a good day at preschool. She brought pink frosted sugar cookies and carefully held them the whole way to school. She requested scrambled eggs and ham for her birthday dinner, which was just fine with me. I love easy dinners that I don't have to nag my children to finish! She has been telling us that she wanted a Mariposa Barbie for a pretty long time, so she was so excited to finally get the doll and the movie. She is such girly girl! She never wants to wear anything but dresses and she is always trying to sweet talk me into putting makeup on her. We are having a party with her friends from church on the 13th, so we will post pictures of that party as well.
